By using digitaleu.me, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm other users, providers, or our infrastructure.
digitaleu.me provides educational guides, European technology alternatives, an inbox scanner, a migration toolkit, and optional browser extension workflows. Recommendations are editorial. Some links may be affiliate links, but affiliate compensation does not change your price and does not buy ranking.
The inbox scanner processes your inbox in your browser. OAuth tokens and scan results in Guest Mode stay on your device — we do not receive your email content, credentials, or message bodies. If you sign in and save results, we store scan metadata (service names and counts, not email content) in our EU-hosted database. You are responsible for granting and revoking OAuth access with Gmail or Outlook, and you should only scan inboxes you own or are authorized to manage.
Scan results are guidance, not a guarantee that every account has been discovered. Email providers, retention settings, and message history can affect what your browser can detect.
Profile Mode uses zero-knowledge profile storage. Your migration progress is encrypted in your browser using Web Crypto keys before being saved to Supabase. We cannot read the encrypted profile content and cannot recover it if you lose the secret used to protect it.
Paid toolkit access is processed by EU-based payment providers: Mollie (Netherlands) for card and bank payments, and optionally BTCPay Server (self-hosted in Iceland) for Bitcoin and Lightning. We never store or process credit card numbers on our servers — payment providers handle card data, authentication, and payment security. We store only the payment status and references needed to unlock access, handle support, and meet legal accounting requirements.
Prices, taxes, and payment methods are shown before checkout. For billing questions, contact info@digitaleu.me.
The Migration Toolkit is digital content delivered immediately upon payment. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)), consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts. However, this right does not apply to digital content where supply has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgment that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost.
Before completing payment, you are asked to confirm the following, and by proceeding you have confirmed:
The timestamp of your consent is recorded alongside your payment and retained as required by applicable consumer law. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract, nor does it affect our liability for defective digital content under applicable national law.
If you believe you have been incorrectly charged or have questions about your purchase, contact info@digitaleu.me.
We use Plausible Analytics only with consent. Plausible is EU-based, privacy-friendly, and cookie-free. If you decline analytics, we do not load the Plausible script on your device. Your consent choice is stored in localStorage, not in cookies.
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, reverse engineer private systems, submit malicious input, or use the platform for unlawful activity. We may restrict or suspend access where necessary to protect users or the service.
digitaleu.me provides informational guidance. It is not legal, financial, security, tax, or compliance advice. You remain responsible for your migration decisions, account deletion choices, and provider relationships.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@digitaleu.me.
